Douglas Barnard, a retired police officer that primarily worked in the Detective Branch of the Toronto Police Service, founded ISG.

He spent most of his career performing surveillance, undercover operations, case preparation and court testimony.

Douglas has numerous awards for investigative excellence, most notably 2003 Police officer of the year (Toronto Police Service) and Commissioner’s Citation for Bravery (OPP).

Our theory at ISG is to run a no nonsense investigation that will get the results you need that is affordable and court ready.

At ISG, we will not make promises that we cannot keep.

Investigative Surveillance Group (ISG) is a private investigation company that specializes in surveillance.

Surveillance is the cornerstone of every investigation. Our investigators are former Police Detectives that worked in primarily in the Detective Branch; they have extensive background in surveillance-based investigations.

They employ state of the art equipment to capture the subjects’ activities and then prepare reports and video that are court ready.
